Waratah is the Aboriginal word for 'Beautiful' -how they got this name is no surprise. Their vivid colours and amazing flower heads protrude from the bush like a stunning beacon.

But they are not just beautiful, they are resilient. They are strong.

I've spent time over the past weeks reflecting about the women in my life - not only the women I've sadly lost but those still here, who inspire me and lift me up.

We have a fire within us that somehow through all of life's challenges keeps us fighting, protecting, nurturing and loving.
