Introducing my newest artwork ‘Where you are’.
This piece is dedicated to my late grandparents: former English farmers who emigrated to Australia when I was 8 years old.
They settled here, embraced our lifestyle with gusto and travelled every corner of our beautiful land collecting photographs and mementos at each stop.
They held a great love of our native flora and fauna and encouraged me greatly with my art making. My grandmother was forever gifting me greeting cards or photographs of things she had seen in her travels to use as inspiration.
They were my biggest cheerleaders, endlessly supportive and even helped me purchase our first home (that ignited my painting career and my love of painting native birds).
Since their passing I have felt a deep connection to Kookaburras. Both my sister and I have experienced their presence in significant times of loss, sadness and also times of happiness and celebration.
Their presence is a reminder to hold family and loved ones close, the importance of laughter and that there is always someone looking out for us.
This artwork having just been completed is yet to be varnished and framed. I will be opting for a Tasmanian Oak floating frame however early purchasers may have their choice of framing colour.
This artwork is painted with the highest quality materials and will be finished with a durable satin varnish. The frame will be fully strung at the back ready to put straight onto your wall.
The framed artwork size is 95.5cm x 95.5cm and will be shipped in a custom box, via Star Track National premium courier straight to your door (WA or TAS may incur a surcharge).
Please allow up to 2 weeks to receive your artwork. I will discuss the best time for delivery prior to sending.
The artwork price includes framing and shipping within Australia.
